Diminish Dread

The sun rises, your alarm goes off and you suddenly feel that sense of dread 😬

If you have that when you wake up in the morning, which happens to me at least a couple of times every few weeks, here’s how I approach diminishing it!

👉🏼 Rate your mood as a percentage % and if it’s low and coming from a place of dread/fear then…

👉🏼 Be honest about where that dread is coming from and try write it down somewhere. Getting it out physically is what will make you feel more in control of it.

👉🏼Next, do exactly that. Control the controllable - whatever you wrote down, determine which thing you simply have to let play out as it will, dealing with it when it comes Vs what can you do right here right now to help the outcome?

👉🏼 Build your confidence by building your knowledge around the chosen thing that you can control now.

Confidence is created when we have certainty. Dread is usually from a place of uncertainty. So as soon as you define what you can make certain and what has to be left in the unknown, the dread will decrease because you’re back in the driving seat!
